Op Bridger

Police CPI, in association with the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO), has produced a security standard for MPs homes and constituency offices. The standard, designated Operation Bridger, has been well received by Members and the Parliamentary Security Department (PSD).

The Operation Bridger guidance sees physical security standards and measures reviewed every 12 months, or when there are any significant changes in generic threat, in order to ensure standards remain current, appropriate and proportionate.

The review process is carried out by NaCTSO, supported by Police CPI, the Home Office, the Members’ Security Support Service (MSSS), the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA), the Parliamentary Liaison and Investigation Team (PLaIT) and Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection (PaDP).

Police CPI continues to provide advice and assistance to PSD on a regular basis on all physical security measures, which is guided by the threat risk produced by NaCTSO.
