Safer Streets

The Safer Streets Fund aims to stop offences that blight communities and cause misery to victims from happening in the first place.

Following a bidding process, grants are allocated to PCCs in England and Wales for projects to improve security in areas particularly affected by acquisitive crimes such as burglary, vehicle theft and robbery.

At the request of the Home Office, Police CPI have been on the Home Office’s Expert Group, providing a range of support for the Safer Streets Fund. This includes delivering training, producing crime prevention and security guides, conducting peer reviews, holding live weekly Q&A sessions and much more.
